During the recently completed business trip to Jalal-Abad oblast, former President Roza Otunbayeva attended meetings with the representative of local communities and discussed promotion of quality school nutrition; increasing number of children attending pre-schools by extending community-based kindergartens and jailoo kindergartens on the high pasture lands during summer season; organization of the women national forum of Kyrgyzstan which is planned for March 2-3, 2015; implement ‘Bobok yry” project which will focus on creating modern children songs in Kyrgyz language to stimulate spiritual development and better language learning for children; and “Stars, reading to children” project which promotes reading culture where involved famous public figures come for joint reading favorite books and fairy tales written by contemporary writers. Roza Otunbayeva also conducted meetings with the faculty and staff of the Jalal-Abad State University of which she is a Professor Emeritus.
