April 28, 2013, 06:00A children’s workshop was held on monotype. Monotype is one of the simplest, nontraditional drawing techniques for children. To draw a picture utilizing the monotype technique, you need: • Any smooth surface that does not allow water to seep through (for example, a piece of Plexiglas or an ordinary baking sheet) • Paint • A dishwashing sponge or paint roller • Cotton swabs • Paper Instructions: • Using the sponge or roller, evenly spread the paint on a prepared surface. • Draw a picture with a cotton swab. • Carefully press the paper onto the surface and then remove it. Your drawing, brought to life by the monotype technique, is ready!
