Women leaders from government institutions taught young girls the basis of management skills
November 25, 2013, 06:00The mentoring project "Ustat" in terms of which women leaders from government institutions taught young girls the basis of management and leadership skills was completed in Bishkek.
It is reported in the project that 26 girls from different spheres of public administration, private and banking sector presented their own final projects implemented during the mentoring program.
The mentors of the project were women leaders from different spheres of public administration, Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ministry of Education, National Bank, General Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Justice, Office of the Government and other.
The goal of the project was to develop opportunities for young women in management, getting and improving leadership and critical thinking skills, gaining experience in policy development and decision making on political and state building.
The Former President of the Kyrgyz Republic Roza Otunbayeva, U.S. Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Pamela Spratlen, British Ambassador Judith Farnworth and others took part at the closing ceremony of the project.
