The Kyrgyz National University and Nazarbaev University Intend to Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

On February 11th a delegation from Nazarbaev University, led by Deputy Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees Kadisha Dairova, visited KNU.

As reported at the university, there was discussion of the issues of cooperation between the two universities, in particular, the exchange of students and scholars. The parties decided on the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between KNU and Nazarbaev University. The signing will take place in May of this year in a solemn ceremony in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of KNU.

After meeting the rector, the Kazakh guests met with the professors, instructors and students of KNU in the university’s auditorium. The members of the delegation talked about their university and answered questions from the people in attendance.

Representing the Kyrgyz side in the meetings were the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Zuurakan Kadenova, First Vice Dean of KNU Ermek Usekeev and others.

The representatives of Nazarbaev University arrived in Kyrgyzstan on the invitation of the “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” Foundation to the Discover Asia event dedicated to Kazakhstan.
