The official opening of the "Development Centers on the Jailoo" season for 2023

The official opening of the "Development Centers on the Jailoo" season for 2023 took place with the participation of Ms. Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic and the Governor of the Issyk-Kul region.

On June 27, 2023, the "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative" International Public Foundation organized the annual official opening of the "Development Centers on the Jailoo": "Altyn Balalyk" and "Nariste" in the Tiup district of the Issyk-Kul region. The project "Development Centers on the Jailoo" has been successfully implemented by the "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative" International Charitable Foundation for the tenth year, providing all children living in the challenging conditions of the highlands with the opportunity to receive preschool training and comprehensive development.

During this event, the Governor of the Issyk-Kul region, Ilyaz Imanbetov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Du Dewen, were invited to familiarize themselves with the activities of the "Development Centers on the Jailoo"

The event was held in a warm atmosphere, allowing guests to interact directly with the children, their parents, and volunteers. With the accompaniment of creative experts from the Confucius Institute and volunteers from the People's Republic of China, a captivating concert program was presented by children from the development centers. The children, dressed in Kyrgyz national costumes, sang, danced, and played. Of particular note was the Chinese national dance performed with fans by the girls from the "Altyn Balalyk" center, which deeply touched the Chinese guests. The master classes and various developmental games for children from the Issyk-Kul Regional Institute of Education and the heads of the "Development Centers on the Jailoo" also sparked great interest.

During the event, the heads of the Development Centers introduced the guests to their curricula and lesson materials, providing a clear demonstration of the interesting and beneficial activities that children engage in at the centers.

The "Roza Otunbayeva Initiative" International Public Foundation expresses its special gratitude to Ilyaz Imanbetov, the Governor of the Issyk-Kul region, and Ms. Du Dewen, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, who is a permanent partner of the "Development Centers on the Jailoo" project and makes an invaluable contribution to the development of the future generation of our country.

For reference: In 2014, the Foundation initiated the "Development Centers on the Jailoo" project, which has facilitated the all-round development of more than 16,000 children from livestock farming families living in mountainous areas over the past nine years. Additionally, over 6,000 parents and 1,400 teachers have participated in various activities and training programs. The number of development centers has increased significantly each year (in 2014 - 35 development centers on the Jailoo, in 2015. - 87, in 2016. - 117, in 2017. - 98, in 2018. - 102, in 2019 - 114, in 2020. - 5, in 2021 - 30, in 2022 - 95,), with 100 centers planned to operate in 2023. The project's success is attributed to the support of local governments, state agencies, pastoral committees, international organizations, sponsors, universities, secondary vocational schools, creative institutions, and the public.
