Ex-President Roza Otunbayeva and a group of experts from Kyrgyzstan met with Malaysian Prime Minister Mohathir Mohamed

From November 19 to November 23, 2018, the working visit of the ex-President of the Kyrgyz Republic R. Otunbayeva to Malaysia took place. As part of this trip, on November 23, a delegation of Kyrgyzstan led by Ex-President of the Kyrgyz Republic Roza Otunbayeva, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy A. Sharsheev and a group of experts from Kyrgyzstan met with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Mokhathir Mohamed.

 

The ex-President and the Prime Minister of Malaysia discussed the areas of possible bilateral cooperation between the countries for the development of political and economic relations.


Mahathir Mohamed conveyed to the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic the readiness of the Malaysian Government to share the best experience in the development of the digital economy, regional development, education, and the fight against corruption.

  

The Kyrgyz delegation met with the Vice Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Van Azizah, heads of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, the Ministry of Family and Women, head of the Commission on Combating Corruption, the leadership of the Digital Economy Corporation.

 

Current Prime Minister of Malaysia is a statesman and political figure in 1981-2003, the fourth Prime Minister of the country. In 2018, he was re-elected as a Prime Minister of Malaysia, but from the opposition alliance Nadezhda, which won the elections in May 2018.
