A training seminar was held in Bishkek for teachers of the natural sciences with the participation of the Austrian First Lady, Magrit Fischer.

The Kyrgyzstani First Lady, Raisa Atambaeva, teachers, scientists and public figures participated in the event.

In opening the event, the Ex-President of Kyrgyzstan, Roza Otunbayeva, stated that Ms. Fischer manages the Network of Science Centers in Vienna.

“We are talking about how to contribute to the promoting of science. Our nation is small and young. Our goal is to focus attention to the fact that in addition to such young disciplines like business, finance, and law, there are the natural sciences. Kyrgyzstan will become green from economics. Energy and alpine mining are our two wings, but how can we take action so that our children become engineers?” said Ms. Otunbayeva.

Ms. Fischer spoke about the work of the Network of Science Centers in Austria. This network has 130 partners – museums, companies, education and scientific institutions, and others. The organization leads trainings in the field of education and science.
