«Children’s Philharmonic» Project is the First of Its Kind in Kyrgyzstan
May 25, 2016, 06:00The first of its kind, the “Children’s Philharmonic” Project will begin on May 28th. Ex-President of the Kyrgyz Republic and International Public Foundation “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” founder Roza Otunbayeva announced the upcoming program during a meeting with journalists.
According to her, it is long past time to start paying particular attention to children. “At the current time we can see that “Children’s Philharmonics” exist in many other countries.” That’s why the “Children’s Philharmonic” has become one of the educational projects being undertaken by the Foundation,” said R. Otunbayeva.
R. Otunbayeva went on to say, “This is a musical-educational project, undertaken with the participation of the Toktogul Satilganov National Philharmonic that will serve children and teenagers while being place for family and cultural activities. The Children’s Philharmonic’s first concert will be dedicated to the waltz, and the National Philharmonic’s Chamber Orchestra will play. The main goal of this project is the formation of musical knowledge and development of musical taste among children, teenagers, and their parents.”
She also added that the Kyrgyz cultural sector should be put to work creating new and varied cultural-educational programs and projects. “We do not have theaters for children, there is no one to put on shows for them,” stated Otunbayeva.
R. Otunbayeva also presented a number of books that have been printed with the help of the Foundation of children, including, Visiting My Friends by Altin Kapalavaya, Тоо Жанырган чагылган (a collection of stories) by Cooronbay Djusuev, and Manas in Drawings (based on Beksultan Djakiev’s test) by Zamir Ilipov.
