Round Table «Mekendeshter - 2016: Opportunities for Cooperation»

On the 10th of May, 2016, a round table meeting was held at the Osh National University as part of the preparations for the “Mekendeshter – 2016” Forum. Ex-President of the Kyrgyz Republic and founder of IPF “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” Roza Otunbayeva, Deputy Director of the National Migration Service, A.Zh. Asanbaev, Deputy Director of the Osh Region B.Yu. Yusupov, Osh Vice-Mayor I.E. Saliev, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations, business associations, and the Osh National University preparation team for the 2016-Forum all took part in the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, delegates debated questions about preparations and the running of the upcoming “Mekendeshter-2016” Forum, which will be taking place on the 1st and 2nd of August at the Osh National University.
Roza Otunbayeva, while letting the gathered crowd know that the large event would be conducted at the Osh National University, also added that the Forum is meant to gather Kyrgyz who live all over the world and create a unique platform where participants can not only exchange exchanges and ideas, but open the door for investment in the field of education, healthcare, and so on.
Within the University itself, the process of preparation has already started, as a specially created work-group has been formed from colleagues and volunteers from the University. As part of the preparation, a presentation entitled “Participation and Investment of the Osh National University was given to the director of the International Department, E. Kamalov. Visual aids from the workers, ensemble, concert program, audio notes, folk music, and a modern-books fair were all part of the presentation.
It is worth noting, that the main goal of the Forum is the creation of contacts and communication between Kyrgyz all over the world. The discussion on finding the best methods for creating a good environment for attracting the mekendeshter as part of the development of Kyrgyz Republic, as well as how to continue these trends in years to come, will figure prominently at the Forum.

The III Forum for The Kyrgyz Diaspora “Mekendeshter – 2016” will be taking place on August 1st and 2nd, 2016, at the Osh National University in the city of Osh (Kyrgyz Republic).
The goal of the large-scale event is the creation of a business platform for the development and strengthening of cooperation between Kyrgyz living outside Kyrgyzstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the sphere of social-economic growth, development of small businesses and production, government-private partnerships, and the development of business education in the institutes of higher learning of the Kyrgyz Republic.
