The Poetry Night with Fatima Abdalovoya was Met with a Standing Ovation

The Poetry Night with Fatima Abdalovoya was completely sold-out. The poet presented her own works about motherhood, motherly love, and the deep connection between a mother and her child.
Fatima Abdalovoya’s work has a lot of admirers, but many of the audience members learned for the first time that the words of the popular song “Бул дүйнөнү апам менен тааныгам” were in fact written by Fatima Abdalovoya herself. Her artistic reading of the creative piece “Apocalypse” was met with a standing ovation.
Abdalovoya’s poems make listeners stop and think about their values and priorities in life. For example, “Жоголгон балдар” is about the fate of teenagers traveling to Syria.
Upon listening to her works, viewers understand that Fatima Abdalovoya is keen observer of life, whose precise observations about life are reflected in her pondering poetry.
The “Roza Otunbayeva Intiative” Foundation gives thanks to the Фонд production team KTR, students from KTU MANAS, and members of the “Көчмөн” Youth Movement for their help in organizing and producing the event.
