Students from Two Bishkek Schools Took Part in the an Actual Operation as Part of the IV Festival of Education

The first day of the IV Festival of Education took place at the I. Akhunbayev Kyrgyz National Medical Academy (KNMA) in Bishkek.

 

The first day of the Festival was dedicated to the theme of “Ecology and Man.”

 

Several well-known figures participated in the Opening Ceremony of the Festival, including ex-President and founder of the International Public Fund “Roza Otunbayeva’s Initiative” Roza Otunbayeva, First Lady Raisa Atambaeva, Bishkek Vice-Mayor Aigul Riskulova, I.K. Akhunbayev KNMA representatives, as well as representatives of various other social, governmental, and international groups, and schoolchildren from across the city.

 

“We want to teach our children how to take care of their health, so that our future generations can be health” remarked R. Otunbayeva at the opening of the event.

 

Teachers and students from KNMA acquainted schoolchildren with life at the university on excursions through university departments and laboratories, while also giving lectures for schoolchildren and guests of the Festival.

 

The first day of the Festival also witnessed the second Green Dialogue, which focused on the theme of “Ecology and Health,” and in which guests could visit the Museum of Placticization (unique in Central Asia) and the Museum of Anatomy, exhibitions, workshops, lectures for primary and secondary school teachers, the city-wide Advertisement Contest for Schoolchildren, as well as meet with students and professors from the Medical Academy.

 

It was reported that, “At 15:30, students from two public medical schools visited the KNMA medical center as part of the “A Day in the Life of the Medical Center” program. As part of the excursion, students could get to known medical personnel, learn more about the newest machines and equipment, and watch a live operation from behind the glass.”

 

 

The first day of the Festival ended with an inter-university stand-up contest on the subject of “What is an Active Citizen?”
