«Germans in Kyrgyzstan’s History» exhibition in Bakai-Ata Rayon

The photo exhibition “Germans in Kyrgyzstan’s History” is being held in Ak-Dobo Village, Bakai-Ata Rayon, Talas Oblast, said Turmush News.

 

German Deputy Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Andres Lundgren, Counselor of the Russian Federation in Kyrgyzstan Alexsei Mzareulov, The “Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva” International Public Foundation Managing Director Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, German Diaspora Commissioner in Talas A. Rifel, Authorized Representative of the government Baiyshbek Jumanazarov, Vice-Authorized Representative of the government Aziyat Jarkynalieva, and the Head of the region, Kanimet Osmonbekov attended the events.

 

The event attendees were acquainted with the photo exhibition. The exhibition featured photographs of Germans’ fates during the war years and outlined the roles played by the more than 100,000 Germans living in the region of Kyrgyzstan from WWII until the end of the Soviet Union. Materials about the history of the relationship between independent Kyrgyzstan and the Federal Republic of Germany completed the exposition.
