At the invitation of the WPF «Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva» arrived in Bishkek EBI Director of the Institute, Mr. Orgil Luvsantseren

Mr. Orgil Luvsantseren from Mongolia, director of the Institute EBI, diplomat, former Ambassador of Mongolia in Switzerland visited Bishkek from April 9-14 at the behest of the Roza Otunbayeva Initiative.


Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia have much in common, both in the past and the present. Both countries are developing parliamentary democracies. After the 20th century, Mongolia was able to hold a series of reforms that have led to significant positive changes in the development of the mining and gold mining, tourism and higher education industries. Now, it has developed dozens of large fields, among them - the largest industrial complex among them being "Oyu Tolgoi" (copper, gold). Income from tourism amounted to $282 million.


According to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, the growth rate in Mongolia in recent years reached 17% per year.


Mr. Orgil talked about economic and political reforms in Mongolia and answered questions at the April 13 roundtable.
