Roza Otunbayeva answered questions during her trip to the Jalal-Abad region

April 3rd – Regional Women’s Forum with the participation of ex-president Roza Otunbayeva in the T. Tynybekov Philharmonic in the city of Jalal-Abad.


The main theme of the meeting was the contribution of women to the development of Kyrgyzstan and their role in modern society. During the forum, participants discussed issues related to women's access to education, their role in civil society contribution to the economy, as well as issues of violence against women and children.


The event was attended by heads of state bodies, women activists, representatives of non-governmental organizations Jalal-Abad region, as well as activists of the Issyk-Kul, Osh and Batken oblasts.


After lunch, Roza Otunbayeva met with provincial pasture committees. As part of the event, they discussed the importance and role of pasture preschools. The participants of the meeting discussed the importance of early childhood education for children. Furthermore, they talked about the possibility of opening a jailoo preschool in 2015.


Presentation of the book of the founder of SONY Masaru Ibuka "After Three is Too Late" in the Kyrgyz language. The publication of this book in the Kyrgyz language was initiated by the "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva".


Chairman of the Pasture Committee of the Tөlөnova Kalbүbү area, Nooken Mombekovskogo, spoke about the role of women in building necessary skills in children, so invite all women to be active in this matter.


Chairman of the Committee Nooken Kenesh pasture area Azim Mozhiev talked about the importance of this initiative and about the potential opportunities that exist in the field, saying that “together we can encourage the development of our preschool-aged children”.
