Invitation for Cooperation and Participation in the 2nd «Mekenedeshter» Forum, 2014

Dear Fellow Countrymen and Women!

Preparations are underway for the 2nd “Mekendeshter” Forum. It has been almost two years since we held the first Forum in Bishkek in August 2012. At the time 300 Kyrgyz nationals from over 20 different countries gathered together to begin a dialogue with leaders of parliament, government ministers, department heads and private and public sector representatives. The Forum was a powerful catalyst for ideas for projects and active citizenship, as well as a unique networking opportunity.

Today the organizing committee of the 2014 Mekendeshter Forum (hereafter MF2014 or MF14) would like to inform you on the details of our preparation for the conference on June 25-27, 2014 in Bishkek. The second of its kind, the 2014 Mekendeshter Forum: “Contributing to the Future of Kyrgyzstan” will be a platform for dialogue, an exchange of experiences and ideas, as well as an opportunity to connect Kyrgyz expatriates with decision-makers, intelligent and creative leaders and resources of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to implement initiatives and best practices the expatriates have seen abroad.

We invite each of you to be involved in the preparations for this year’s conference and to take a leading role in the national discourse on development. Through this paper we will correspond with you on collectively shaping the agenda and projects. Please tell us about your experience living abroad, about your ideas and projects and any know-how that you have acquired that you would like to share with your compatriots here for the betterment and prosperity of our shared nation.

Attached you will find the preconference program and material about the attendance registration fee, as well as information on how to participate as a speaker, social networking mediator, exhibition organizer, project or open talk author or internet commenter if you have interesting questions for Kyrgyzstan’s state and municipal service leaders.

One of the major innovations of MF14 will be the myriad exhibition activity and sites where Forum participants will be able to network, share experiences and find potential cooperative and business partners.
