November 1, 2018 - Innovation Projects Contest “Women in STEM” finalists’ announcement

The Executive Director of the International Public Foundation “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” and the Coordinator of the project “Empowering and Enhancing the Role of Women in STEM” will announce the names of 10 finalists of the Innovation Projects Competition “Women in STEM”. The winners will be able to receive financial support, as well as the necessary mentoring assistance of international and domestic experts for the implementation of their projects.

November 3, November 6, November 13, November 14 and November 16 advocacy activities of youth initiatives
• October 30 (10.00 to 14.00): in Ruhiy Muras residential area - supporting the Children's Development Center (classes of creativity for children);
• October 31 - Ak Tilek residential area : setting up a center for children's creativity in the old building of FAP;
• November 2 - residential area Ene Sai: construction of a football field;
• November 5 - residential area BakaiAta: construction of a football field;
• November 13 - the joint action of the residential areas of Kalys Ordo, Muras Ordo, Kolmo and Zhenish: assistance in improving street lighting, transformer amplification and poles;
• November 14 - Bugu-EneBagysh residential area : provision of electricity to residential areas
• November 16 - Ak Ordo residential area : assistance in improving street lighting, strengthening transformers and strengthening poles for electrical wires.
From October 26 to November 16, 2018, youth teams in 10 pilot residential areas of Bishkek will conduct advocacy campaigns on priority issues of youth concerns.

The purpose of the training is the formation of a responsible attitude towards one's health based on knowledge about proper nutrition. November 13-15 - School festival of theaters "Aitmatov zhana teartr aalamy "

The festival is held by the “Ustat-Shakirt” project together with the “Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva” foundation and the National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic, UNESCO. The goal of the Festival is to support school theaters and popularize theatrical art among children.

The goal of the webinars is to assist in the career development of the project participants through a series of online training seminars on leadership, communication skills, and technical English and Information and Communication Technologies. The training will help to establish friendships, exchange experience and knowledge, as well as increase motivation for professional growth in the field of STEM.
Webinars will be held in Bishkek and the country's regions with partnership universities: KSTU. I.Razzakova, NSU named after S.Naamatov, Osh State University, ZSU, TalSU, ISU named after K.
