Organizers of the IV Festival of Education

The Festival of Education 2016 (FO-2016) is a continuation of last year’s Festival, and is dedicated to the environment and environmental education and training, including the use and promotion of traditional ecological knowledge in order to raise awareness among children and young people, as well as among the general public, about the need for: respect for the environment, the rational use of water resources, improvements concerning ecological culture / consciousness, and the promotion of a clean and healthy environment.
The theme of FO-2016 is the environment and its effects on human health.
Introducing the organizers of the IV Festival of Education:
IPF “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative”
The International Public Fund “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” began operating in January 2012, with the goal of creating and implementing programs and projects that will contribute to the social, political, and economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic while respecting the environment.
The Fund leads initiatives in four main areas:

2) Democratic Governance
3) Sustainable Social Growth
4) Diversity and Culture as a Way to Access Global Value

Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (I.K. Akhunbayev)
The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy is the leading authority in medical education in the Kyrgyz Republicб and one of the fastest growing educational institutes in Central Asia.
526 teachers work at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy; of which 86 are professors or hold doctorates in the field of medicine, while a further 316 are adjunct or assistant professors.
More than 4000 students attend the Academy, including Kyrgyz citizens, citizens of the CIS nations, and citizens of 17 other foreign countries.
The main goal of the Academy is to meet the intellectual, cultural and moral developmental needs of the individual through secondary vocational, bachelor, and masters medical programs, which are based on the indissoluble unity of the educational process. This process includes research and clinical work, which covers theoretical and applied research in the field of medicine and related sciences.
The Academy prepares doctors to serve both domestically and abroad. Education is conducted in Russian and in English.
