The «Germans in the history of Kyrgyzstan» exhibition will open in Osh

On March 27, 2015, the "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" will open the "Germans in the history of Kyrgyzstan" exhibition in the National Museum of the city of Osh. It will run until April 30, 2015.


The main objective of the exhibition - to present to the general public in Kyrgyzstan and the international community the history of Germans in Kyrgyzstan and their contribution to the economy and culture of the country, as well as to highlight further the path of integration and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany.


Artistic image of the exhibition - is the way to finding a new country. It is the homeland, home to the German settlers became the land of Kyrgyzstan.


The exposition will be represented by two big themes:

1. Historical processes in the context of which Kyrgyzstan lived in the second half of 19th – 20th centuries.

2. The Germans, whose contribution is invaluable to the history of Kyrgyzstan.


Preparing the exhibition also prompted scientists to new research, the results of which came in a special collection and were presented at the round table dedicated to the opening of the exhibition.


The exposition will be interesting as representatives of the scientific community and the general public. Especially welcome are children for whom specially prepared interactive complex where you can with the help of experienced museum educators to meet with the exhibition and the German culture as a whole.

Partners in the preparation and organization of the exhibition are the "People's Council of Germans in Kyrgyzstan", the German Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Goethe-Institute, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the "Interglass" company.


In turn, the German Embassy in cooperation with the National Council of Germans in Kyrgyzstan have decided to hold the exhibition to coincide with the Days of German cinema, which will be shown in Osh on 27 and 28 March in the cinema "Ak-Buura." Viewers can see the famous paintings such as "Good Bye, Lenin!", "The Miracle of Bern", "Last Days of Sophie Scholl", "The Lives of Others." Demonstration of films will be held in German with subtitles in Russian. The organizers invite all residents of the city of Osh in view of contemporary German cinema.
