December 8, 2014, 06:00December 6 - Meeting with Chinese artist Yan Yaya and master class on the basics of traditional Chinese “Guohua” painting
Yan Yaya’s work is in the collections of many famous museums and galleries in the world including in the US, UK, Germany, Canada, Singapore, India, Turkey, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, New Zealand. She is the recipient of several international and national awards.
We invite all residents and guests to meet Ms. Yan Yaya, become acquainted with the works of famous artists, and take part in a small master class on the basics of traditional “Guohua” Chinese painting.

The State Historical Museum has been holding events for children as part of the “Germans in the history of Kyrgyzstan exhibit, including:

• “Stars read to children" - Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Anders Lundgren German fairy tales read to children
• Fun Games of puppet theater "Slave"
• Master classes for children
• Cartoon showing

December 12 - Excursion to the "Coca-Cola" bottling plant for participants in the "Ustat-2" project
December 18 - "Beans and pumpkin" master class as part of the "Improving School Meals in Kyrgyzstan" project
In order to promote the idea of a healthy and balanced diet for the physical and intellectual development of children, there will be a master class on cooking dishes using healthy and affordable products like pumpkin and beans. Famous and important women in Kyrgyzstan will participate in the project, acting as students who will then be able to promote healthy diets.

The “Discover Asia” meeting series continues to study the lives of our neighbors in Asia. As China develops, which values for the basis of its education system? What allowed the Chinese to make breakthroughs in science and technology? Why do Chinese students occupy leading positions in international competitions? What are Chinese teachers paid? Why is the teaching profession considered so honorable and respected? What can we learn from our neighbors?

Part of the ongoing "Germans in the history of the Kyrgyz Republic" project.

December 23 - "The music - soul of the people: Turkish musical culture"
The December sees the continuation of the beloved "Music - the soul of the people" concert series. This time, the audience will be introduced to Turkish musical culture, harmoniously combining divergent elements of Eastern and European cultures. The sound of traditional musical instruments, beautiful dances, colorful costumes, melodious songs - all of this will be presented in the concert program!
