«School Meals – The Path to Knowledge!» – Event in Barpy Square, Jalal-Abad

«School Meals – The Path to Knowledge!» – Event in Barpy Square, Jalal-Abad. The event took place for children and parents at 10 a.m. on May 31st. The goal of the event is to raise awareness about healthy eating for children.
At the event, there were cooking classes for children by students of vocational school No. 75. Participants learned how to knead dough and prepare banana muffins, as well as the nutritional content of certain foods.

- Two-Course Meal – Banana Muffins, Fruit Salad
- Beverages
- Healthy Meals (Banana Muffins and Fruit Salad) Distributed to 300 People
Participants also took part in the “Breakfast of Champions” educational game featuring Animation Bishkek, in which children could take the route of healthy eating while winning prizes and gifts.
The event concluding with large chalk drawings on the asphalt.
“School Meals – The Path to Knowledge!” is part of the Roza Otunbayeva Initiative’s “Enhancing Public Policy to Promote School Meals” project that has the financial support of the World Food Programme as part of their “Optimization of School Feeding in the Kyrgyz Republic” program.
